ATOMIC Physical Activity Research Program
Study description:
Youth with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are commonly very physically inactive. However, vigorous physical activity has shown to improve well-being while lowering MS disease activity in youth. There is currently a lack of useful physical activity tools developed for youth with MS. With the input of youth with MS, we have created a smartphone app that promotes physical activity using educational activities, one-on-one coaching, and social connectedness. This research study will look at the problem of inactivity in youth with MS by studying the usefulness of the app to encourage physical activity.
