The Canadian Paediatric Imaging Platform (C-PIP): A Platform to Support Research In Child Brain Health
Study description:
The Canadian Paediatric Imaging Platform (C-PIP) was created to collect and store biological data and health information from typically developing children and questionnaire information from their parents/caregivers. The biological data and health information collected will be made available to researchers at SickKids and other academic research institutions to better understand how the brain develops. The goal is to create a large database of brain development data to further understand how different factors, such as genetics and the environment, can affect brain development, also known as neurodevelopment.
Benefits to participating:
Participants will receive a small token of appreciation for their time.

Who can participate:
Children/Youth who are between the ages of 0-9 AND have received care at SickKids OR were born at Mount Sinai or St. Michael's.
What's involved:
You will visit SickKids once a year for three years to complete:
- A Brain MRI Scan
- Parent & Child Questionnaire
- Cognitive Assessments
- A Saliva Sample only at your 1st visit
